ORIFLAME TRIPLE CORE LIPSTICK REVIEW....

Hi everyone,

ok before starting , i am new to lipsticks. i have used a lot of lipglosses but i really dont like the shimmery particles or 3D effect they give out!!!!!!!!
but i loveeeeeeee ELF  lipglosses!!!!  they sort of match my requirements...........

but i wanted to try out lipsticks...........i started with affortable ones, Elle 18 then went on to Oriflame Vission V lippies  then Colorbar...n then this one!!!!!!! so correct me if i describe it amateurishly !!! after all  i am still a beginner!

The Oriflame website says :

The world's first Triple Core Lipstick

Oriflame is proud to present the world’s first triple core lipstick –  Oriflame Beauty Triple Core Lipstick.

With ten stunning combination shades, Triple Core delivers everything you need for your lips without compromise:

  • A caring core makes the lips soft, hydrated and protected
  • A colour core delivers high impact lustrous colour that lasts up to four hours
  • High gloss ingredients and light-reflective microcrystal’s for dramatic sheen and sparkle

PRICE - Introductory price - 259/-
OTHERWISE : 398/-
I AM A CONSULTANT so i got for rs. 207/-

First thing you notice about This lipstick is that it doesn't have your average angled look but more of a domed shape. This is to help the products spread onto the lips in the right order and be worn in the right order, where the moisturising core is a bit stiffer than the other cores

I got one in EXPLOSIVE PINK!

SO DOES ORIFLAME STAND BY ITS CLAIMS

it sure does (well almost..........haha)

Lets see how :

TEXTURE : the texture is light.,glossy and transparent ,watery, comfortable and  you dont feel anything heavy on lips .Is not too shimmery .does not accentuate  your fine lines. Also smells good!

this is one swipe of TCL

COLOR AND PIGMENTATION :In the brochure when you see the shades you feel these have good pigmentation.
but the pigmentation is medium. i guess since its a mix of three layer-lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm ...so the result is diluted............but if you still want to get maximum pigmentation you can try and swipe the lipstick part of the TCL. I also think lighter shades wont  give out  color on pigmented lips...so thats a con. I  also feel it plumps up my lips a bit.

THIS IS AFTER 3-4 SWIPES

.The color is bright pink or barbie pink  yet wearable nothing like you cant carry it off or too bright for daily use.will even look good  on special occasions. if your attire is simple this would perk up your overall look.

Moisture : When it comes to this factor,it is very very hydrating.so  unlike other lipsticks wont suck up your moisture or make it dry. Oriflame Lip spa users would know it better!!!!!!!!!
dry lips would love it!!!!!!!!!!

Packaging is sleek, simple and lightweight. i so wish it was more classy and rich. Oriflame packaging often disappoints me. but some like it lightweight too.

Other than that  the lipstick did last on my lips for almost 4 hours like it claims.

SOME OTHER SHADES FROM OTHER BLOGGERS :

THIS IS STUNNING CLOVER
I SIMPLY ADORE THIS ONE

SPECTACULAR NUDE

VERDICT :

these lipsticks are good for daily as well as party wear.
though not highly pigmented but works for me could be a con for some. smells good too

if your in a hurry and out of time to use a lipbalm and lipgloss just carry this!

i am pretty disappointd by the packaging!

i think wearing a lipliner before this lipstick would give a very good finish! i will try that!

ITS ANNOYING how the color and finish varies from the brochure .just compare  the brochure pics and  reviews pics you will understand.
but i like them n now i have understood how they vary, what color i would get  so its easier to purchase.

also the more number  of times you swipe on  your lips the pigmented and shinier it gets.....

well one tip i can give you or something you already maybe knowing........is  if you want to purchase any lipstick from avon, oriflame  or any direct selling company never choose the shades  by looking at the brochure.......
cos the color always turns out to be different.........and you may be disappointed
but the good thing is Oriflame provides testers for almost everything.........from creams, foundations to lipsticks and perfumes and sometimes even for "yet to be launched" products i guess.....
THEIR STARTER KIT IS FOR RS. 398/- for consultant and 498/- FOR BUYERS AND IT HAS ALMOST EVERYTHING. ( I shall review  everything soon)

the lipstick testers are for only 29/-. and for TCL currently 4 shades of testers are available . i have already ordered  the testers and stunning clove.and ravishing rose . will update the review soon.

buyers  should ask for  testers before purchasing  from  a consultant.
sooooo  its always been helpful and risk-free.

  22. hi radhika

me new to your blog .. liked your review about the product and the idea about getting testers .. just one suggestion i had little trouble reading your blog.. may be it was too blue for me or the text colours over blue didnt suit my eyes. If you could coordinate a bit of colours between text and background it would become easier to read.

    Thanks :)

  23. explosive pink is a nice color... wud it suit for wheatish skin..???
